Terms should be negotiable between each buyer/seller I would be willing to pay a rate for the ability to re-sell, or even the exclusive ability to resell. This is pretty standard and the structure could be lifted from Amazon's data exchange ecosystem
I believe Swash is exploring licensing options, so it's a pertinent matter. They are probably a better source of truth on this matter, or perhaps someone else from the team will chime in, but I'm not experienced with these legal issues to give an answer.
I need to see what I'm buying before I subscribe to a stream. Could we just make a few sample records visible with complete dimensions available as a preview?
Stream previews have long been on our todo list, the problem is a little trickier to solve than it looks but it would immediately bring value for the reasons you mentioned. Completely agree.
I need to know this data was sourced in a GDPR/CCPA compliant and ethically sound manner. Is there a certification process for sellers to get "verified" stream badges? (Also, how can we ensure that sellers adhere to this ongoing?)
I suspect this would be apart of their data product license, and perhaps we could make a badge of that commitment expressed in their license. It's important to remember that the Streamr network cannot snoop on product's data to enforce GDPR/CCPA. That's by design 🙂 This is between the buyer and seller.
